Tony Christie – 2nd April 2016

International singing legend, Tony Christie, famous for songs ‘Is this the way to Amarillo?’ and ‘In the avenues and alleyways’ and many more, will be appearing live in concert at the Town Hall in Sutton Coldfield for one night only.  One of the finest singers of our generation and a platinum selling recording artiste, Tony is delighted to be appearing in Sutton Coldfield with his full band.  There will also be a special guest appearance during the show by folk ensemble, Ranagri, who recently teamed up with Tony to create his recent album ‘The Great Irish Songbook’.
A seasoned performer, Tony has been in the business a long time.  In fact it is his 50th recording anniversary this year. His first single ‘Life’s Too Good To Waste’ was released on CBS Records in June 1966. It has already been a busy year, having just returned from Germany following a 20 concert date tour.  September 2016 will see the release of a new hits compilation together with a brand new album recently recorded in Nashville. He is thrilled to be playing live in Sutton Coldfield in April this year.
